Evelyn Moon Children's Services is a nonprofit in Anniston providing
programs and support for children and their caregivers.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2020 with one purpose: to ensure the safety and well-being of every child by equipping children, strengthening families, and empowering the communities that support them.

Evelyn Moon Simmons was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love was evident in every sacrifice she made for her family. Though she faced significant challenges—including declining health, dialysis, social barriers, and mental health struggles—she remained committed to ensuring her children and grandchildren were safe, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed.
During difficult seasons, compassionate social workers sometimes provided assistance with transportation, utilities, medication support, and access to critical resources. Their intervention strengthened not only Evelyn, but her entire family.
Evelyn Moon Children's Services proudly bears her name because her life reflects our mission: ensuring that children and families have access to the support they need to overcome challenges and thrive. Through Full Moon Mentoring, 2GAP (Two-Generation Approach Program), and RESET (Rapid Emotional Support & Emergency Team), we continue the work that made a difference in her life.
We honor her legacy by providing hope, support, and opportunity for the children and families we serve.
Evelyn Moon Children's Services exists because children thrive when they have stability, access, and people who show up for them - because every child deserve a champion.
We work alongside school administrators, families, and other service providers to deliver services that address real barriers: mental health, academic success, transportation, crisis support, mentoring, and caregiver training.
Because we partner with schools, local agencies, and community organizations across Calhoun County, we work toward closing the gaps that put children at risk.
Leaving an impact one child at a time.
